Up and Coming: Most Likely to Succeed by Jennifer Echols

Most Likely to Succeed by Jennifer Echols

Release Date: August 4, 2015

We got to know Kaye and Sawyer in the first two books of Jennifer Echols "Superlatives" series. Kaye is both the Vice President of the senior class AND head of the cheerleaders. Sawyer, is the man behind the pelican, the school mascot. He's also the one trying to prove that he's more than a bad reputation.

Kaye's family has some very serious ideas about how her life should go: perfect grades, law school, a high paying- high powered job. And her high school boyfriend, the Student Council President, seems like he is the perfect guy to go along with this picture. The only problem is that Kaye doesn't feel much of a connection to that vision of how her life should be and these days she's feeling even less of a connection with Aidan.

On the football field, in her cheer uniform, Kaye really feels like she's being herself. And it's there where she has a great time with Sawyer. Where Aidan seems content to check her off the list of things that make him a big man on campus, Sawyer is interested in her and really seems to see who she is. But how can she let herself like a guy who the class voted as most likely to end up in jail?

Sawyer and Kaye are a lot more than just the people their classmates think they are. Jennifer Echols is so great at writing the connection that builds between two people. The chemistry between Kaye and Sawyer is off the charts, but what makes this book special is the way their respect and admiration for each other builds as they get to know each other.

A really cool thing about The Superlatives is that there is a ton of character development going on over the course of those three books. When we first meet Sawyer in Biggest Flirts, there's no way you would think of him as a romantic lead, let alone someone that Kaye would take a chance on. But, by the end of this book, Sawyer has had some major epiphanies and glimpses of a future he might not be so fond of. The Superlatives is a perfectly satisfying romantic series that you are not going to want to miss out on.
