Radio Week: "Hey Now" by Matt & Kim

Katie finishes off Radio Week with your weekend's new jam:

Having a bad day? Behold, I give you Matt & Kim’s Hey Now.

It’s the sort of music video and song that just makes you want to dance around your bedroom. Or down the streets of Brooklyn. The fast-paced, driving beat and joyful duo call to mind some of my favorite books about a boy, a girl, and one crazy day/night:

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan: This is THE CLASSIC he said, she said, let’s-dash-around-New-York, dance, and fall-in-love-in-a-night book.

Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley: I don’t think I’ve mentioned this book on the blog for at least a year, which feels almost criminal. If you want a manic, fast-paced, one-night adventure Down Under, you must meet Lucy and Ed and follow them through everything that happens on the night after graduation.

Just One Day by Gayle Forman: If you prefer to fall hopelessly and adventurously in love over the course of a day in Paris, this is the one for you. It’s not a he said/she said in the most traditional of terms (for the he said side of things you need to pick up Just One Year), but if you want to watch Allyson throw caution to the wind, Matt & Kim style, start here.
