Blind Spot for Boys by Justina Chen

Blind Spot for Boys by Justina Chen

Shana knows what it's like to get her heart broken. That's why she's done being vulnerable. Instead, she's treating guys like a guy would, going on dates and leaving hearts behind. When she runs into Quattro, in town to check out a local college, she feels a spark, but chooses to ignore it rather than risk starting something real.

The spark and Quattro are quickly forgotten when a family health issue takes all her attention. Suddenly everything is about living in the moment and doing all the things her parents had on their bucket list now, rather than someday. One of bucket list items happens to be a trip to Machu Picchu. But when fate brings Quattro back into her life, half way across the globe, she'll have another chance to see how much she could miss out on if she keeps her blinders to boys on.

Justina Chen is amazing at writing the inside of girls' brains. She takes you right in there among all the fear, self-consciousness and second guessing. Shana is a complicated girl who is worried about her family and worried about putting herself out there. This is a book that remembers that relationships can be a lot more complicated than just thinking somebody's got amazing eyes.

Blind Spot For Boys also is a great book for fans of traveling without leaving your house. Shana's trip turns into way more of an adventure than she'd planned and it is exciting, scary and inspiring. If you're thinking of items to put on your own bucket list, this book will give you a jump start!
