100 Sideways Miles by Andrew Smith
Finn Easton has epilepsy and a weird scar on his back because a dead horse fell on him when he was a kid. He has a teacher who likes to “make history come alive” and dresses up as a Nazi one day for school. He meets the most beautiful girl in the world and then she finds him lying in a puddle of his own urine. In other words, he’s got a lot going on in his life.
This book throws a lot at you, but don’t worry, Andrew Smith is going to cover everything you need to know. By the end of this book I was crying and laughing at the same time. Finn is totally unique, but never annoyingly quirky and I loved reading about his trials and tribulations.
