Bright Before Sunrise by Tiffany Schmidt

Bright Before Sunrise by Tiffany Schmidt

Brighton is the type of girl who will bend over backwards to make sure that everyone in her life is happy. It's been her role in the family since her dad passed away and it's bled into her life at school as well. As long as she's focused on keeping her mom and her sister happy and her classmates as involved and full of school spirit as possible, she doesn't have to think about her own feelings. She doesn't have to admit that she might be as happy as the smile on her face lets others believe she is.

Jonah, on the other hand, is one walking raw nerve. Since his mother remarried, they had to move for his senior year and now he's away from his friends and his girlfriend. Instead of playing varsity ball, he's babysitting his little sister and counting down the minutes he has left of senior year. He is one hundred percent not interested in volunteering for the overly cheerful Brighton's community service projects. To him, she's just one more preppy rich kid at a school that he wishes he never had to set foot in again.

When these two find themselves stuck together for an evening, it is not pretty. But by the end of the night will they find there's more to the other person than the persona they show everyone at school? This is an all-in-one-night that has lots of awkward moments, near misses and second chances.
