Far, Far Away by Tom McNeal

There have been so many new books this summer that you might have missed this one, Librarian M wants to make sure that you don't miss out for any longer!

Far Far Away by Tom McNeal

The ghost of Jacob Grimm has one more tale to tell before he moves on to the next plane of existence—the tale of Jeremy Johnson Johnson who can talk to ghosts, needs to find a way to save his home, and falls in love with a supercool girl named Ginger. An absent mother, a small town, and an outcast boy are just a few of the fairy tale elements you can expect from this book.

Under a funny and amiable exterior runs a thread of menace that slowly picks up steam as the story progresses. Characters who seem two-dimensional will turn out to have more layers than expected. Jeremy is a wonderful main character and Jacob is a sympathetic narrator; they will have you on the edge of your seat as you hope for their success.

What more can I say to convince you? I almost missed this one in the summer publishing crush and I’m so glad I went back and picked it up. I urge you to do the same.
