Will & Whit by Laura Lee Gulledge

Will & Whit by Laura Lee Gulledge

Will (Wilhelmina) is an old fashioned girl in a fast-moving world. She lives surrounded by antiques above the shop that used to belong to her grand parents. She and her aunt sell customers beautiful things that used to belong somewhere. Will spends her time working with her hands, making some of the antiques into lamps.

But she doesn't want to escape into the past. In fact, the past has a lot of things that Will doesn't want to think about.  Plus, she's got two great friends in the present who are both makers too: Autumn, who wants to be a puppeteer and Noel who is a pro baker.

Will needs something to shake her out of the rut she's been in and maybe, just maybe the storm that's blowing in is just what she's looking for. Hurricane Whitney and Will have a date with destiny...

Will & Whit is from the author of Page by Paige and once again, she brings us teens who are ready to create instead of just texting. If you're someone who likes to draw or make things, jump into a play, or just bake something delicious, you'll find friends in Will & Whit.

Laura Lee Gulledge will be at Politics & Prose on September 16 if you're interested in finding out more about the cartoonist behind these very fun books!
