Spotlight on Summer: Sticky Note Art at Aurora Hills

Ashley made this BMO (from Adventure Time) to display in Aurorah Hills' teen room!

Join us on August 14 at the Aurora Hills Library from 3:00-4:00 PM to make sticky note art! What is sticky note art? It’s hard to describe without seeing it, so take a look below instead!

Here are some designs that the teens at Shirlington Library made last year:

A lot of sticky note art takes its cue from pixel art in classic video games. While you can layer the sticky notes to make shapes, you can also lay them out in a grid design (like my BMO) by placing them in rows and columns.

Bring your creativity (but we’ll also have templates), we’ll provide the supplies! We’ll be displaying the art on the windows at Aurora Hills, so be prepared to make some awesome designs that will show off our library. Please note that our programs are free and do not require registration.
