Intuition by C.J. Omololu

Intuition by C.J. Omololu

In Transcendance (see our full review here) Cole had a rude awakening on a trip to the Tower of London. Now that she's awake to memories of past lives she's lived, she can't go back to the way things used to be. It's a lot easier to listen to your parents when you don't remember being a parent yourself. A curfew definitely starts to chafe in a way it didn't before.

But Cole has bigger problems than just being a teenager with a historical memory. Her boyfriend thinks she has unfinished business with a guy she used to know (you know, in the 1800s, that sort of used to know). She can't get a handle on her new found abilities, despite studying with members of the Akhet and so she can't help out in any of their projects. All of the turns Cole takes seem to be ending in frustration. When someone from Cole's past endangers someone very important in her present, will she be finally able to do something?

This is a really exciting fantasy action adventure series. There are major plots and plans afoot! What's fun here is that not only is Cole processing the memories of her other lives, but she's also dealing with the fact that she's meeting people who knew a past version of her. How can she convince them to get to know the person that she is now and not just go by the girl that they knew in the past? Talk about identity issues!

Also, I know there are readers out there who are searching for books that strongly feature a love triangle, because you come to the reference desk and ask for it. I don't think it's a spoiler to say that you will readers in particular will be happy with this volume. There is a lot of romantic drama for Cole and it will keep you turning the pages to see where Cole's heart truly stands!
