Top 5 of 2013 (so far): Librarian M Leads the Way

The always discerning Librarian M stops by with her picks and we will undoubtedly see shiny award stickers on many of these come January. Put them on hold now, before they hit the big time.

Scowler by Daniel Kraus (see our full review)

Horrifyingly creepy in the best ways.

Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick (see our full review)

Past lives, human sacrifice, ghost stories, and more. You’ll want to read this book carefully, then read it again to make sure you didn’t miss anything.

Quintana of Charyn by Melina Marchetta

If you haven’t been keeping up with the Lumatere Chronicles, you are missing out. This is one of the best fantasy series…ever? Yeah, I’m going with ever.

Eleanor& Park  by Rainbow Rowell (see our week of posts)

I don’t think any more needs to be said about this book, but rest assured, you should make time to read it.

Such a great main character. I wanted to hang out with her forever.
