Art Program at Columbia Pike: ¡Cha Cha Print!

Columbia Pike Libray
October 13 at 2pm

Artist Ric Garcia will lead a fast paced art making workshop for teens using collage, paper stencil screens and a unique stamping technique to create contemporary looking prints with a “silk screen print feel.”

These one of a kind prints–known as monotypes–use materials around the home or that can be bought at a local department store. One unique and important tool to this process is made from a large cardboard box. This clean frame work station is yours to take home.

Ric will discuss his artwork and share why he became an artist, the importance of keeping a sketchbook and how his Hispanic heritage inspires his work.

If you can't make the event (which is going to be really awesome, so you should go!) then you can check out Mr. Garcia's art hanging in Columbia Pike Branch Library from Sept 15- October 15!
