Bitz and Pieces: April Showers Edition

So, spring break is over and we're not quite in the home stretch to the end of the year. To tide you over here are some fun lit links to look over during the month of April:

Let's get started with some of TATAL's favorite authors from around the lit-o-sphere:
Stacked has an interview with Antony John (author of Five Flavors of Dumb) who has a new book, Thou Shalt Not Road Trip coming out soon!

Jon Skovron has news on his upcoming 2-book series! Man Made Boy sounds awesome, he had us at: "Monsters! Broadway divas! Road trip! Hackers! Weird romance! What?! You want more!?"

And a few more goodies from the interwebs:

The Compulsive Reader is ready to get romantic! With a great list of books for those who are new to the genre.
The new trailer for Insurgent by Veronica Roth makes us immediately click the "hold" button on the catalog.

100 Scope Notes has got the blues, when it comes to book cover trends.

Ever wondered just how a book is "born"? This amazing video from the Telegraph is making the rounds showing us just how it's done. Neat!

Author and blogger, Melissa Walker is always bringing us the very interesting stories behind the covers of books on our shelves. Today she's got the long and interesting journey of Preloved by Shirley Marr.

Local librarian and blogger Biblio File has a very exciting look at her Spring to-be-read pile!

I'm pretty sure we already posted this video, but since we're still in a Hunger Games induced fog, here is another look at our favorite Hunger Games related parody song.
Finally, we love this anecdote from children's author, Maurice Sendak (via tumblr) which comes from this interview from NPR.
