Be a Library Insider: Punk's History in Your Home Town!

Normally when we're talking about music on the blog, we're talking about fictional stuff... NOT today!

If you are interested in punk music, local history, or music in general, you're going to want to get yourself over to Central Library ASAP! We've got a serious collection of memorabilia from the local punk scene in the 1970s and 80s.

It's pretty much awesome.

To find out more about the exhibit, take a look at the library's post on it and also Arlnow.com's article on it.

But to get a better idea of the entire collection (including bands like The Dead Kennedys, Fugazi, The Misfits and more) take a look at the Flickr collection. Prepare to get lost in band posters, newspaper articles and more.

This exhibit is part of Arlington Reads 2012- which you can find out more about here.
