Up and Coming: The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith

Release Date: January 2, 2012

This one got away from us somehow. Katie and I grabbed an Arc of this at Book Expo America and then it got passed around to some of our High School TAB readers, everyone loved it but somehow it never appeared here. Let's fix that today!

Hadley is headed across the Atlantic and she's less than thrilled about it. Maybe that's why she's running late for her departing flight... four minutes late to be exact. Just enough that the outer doors for her plane are closed and Hadley is out of luck

Or is she? Her new seat places her next to Oliver. A boy with his own reasons to be unexcited about landing in England.  As they fly over many miles they distract each other from what's waiting for each of them after Heathrow.

If you like your love story with a clock ticking loudly, counting down the minutes your main characters have together, this is the perfect book for you. How much can you get to know someone on one transatlantic flight? And what is the statistical probability of falling in love at first sight anyway?

This is a great contemporary romance with likable characters, it's one that I found myself marking pages to return to later. Also, no cliff hangers here, this one wraps up with a very satisfying ending. This one doesn't come out till January, otherwise it would definitely be on my Christmas list.

In case you weren't already sold on this book, here are two fantastic book trailers, one from Hadley and one from Oliver!
