Fall for Anything by Courtney Summers

Fall for Anything
by Courtney Summers

Eddie's father committed suicide. Ever since then her life has revolved around one question. Why? It doesn't matter what she is doing, homework, dishes, talking to her best friend Milo, what she's really doing is thinking over this again and again.

If she seems like a mess, you should see her mother. Who hasn't left the house or taken off her dad's house coat since that night. All in all, things are not going well in Eddie's house. Even her best friend Milo seems like he's on the verge of abandoning her for a relationship with a girl who looks like Marilyn Monroe.

When a student of her father shows up with a new trail of clues a spark of hope lights in Eddie. Suddenly she's faced with a brand new barrage of questions. What if her father's reasons aren't something Eddie should know? What if it makes things worse? Would that be worse than not having any answers at all? Also, who is this college guy and does he know more than he's saying?

Eddie's quest is not for the faint of heart. She is not in a good place and from page one Summers puts you right into her brain. It's gritty and frustrating and depressing, exactly what you'd think life from Eddie's eyes would be like. You'll be hoping that Eddie will feel the pull of the world of the living and stop focusing on what she's lost.... but that's much easier said than done.

If you enjoyed 13 Reasons Why, By the Time You Read this I'll be Dead, or are a fan of dark and emotional realistic fiction, this is a book that will not let you go.
