Teen Review: My Most Excellent Year

My Most Excellent Year
by Steve Kluger
--A book review by Ray Gallo

For school, three friends are to tell the story of "My Most Excellent Year." All three friends tell the story of what happened the year of ninth grade, when Alé moved to the U.S. from Mexico City. T.C falls in love with her right away, but she doesn’t feel the same way. Meanwhile, Augie, T.C.’s adoptive brother, is having his own love problems. Alé becomes part of the group when T.C. meets a very special deaf boy, Hucky, and tries to make his dream of meeting Mary Poppins come true. This book is not your average love story. This book has everything you could want: romance, humor, deep emotions, and dreams fulfilled.

For a closer look at the characters, check out Augie's website here.
For a few books we think go great with this book, check out this post.
