Some comic relief: Teen Review and More!

Our amazing (and graduating soon!) teen volunteer Alison is graciously stopping by today to share with us her pick for a read that will make you laugh out loud on the Metro (or the bus, or in your car, or... you get the picture).

Do your spirits need further lifting? You might want to check out The Popularity Papers  by Amy Ignatow or The Strange Case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger.  Both of these were really written for those in the fifth/sixth grade, but they are both so funny that they have even those of us in our ancient post-teens laughing. I'm book-talking both of them to fifth graders this week; but, if you don't believe me about how good they are, you can check out this review from the NY Times, or get a taste of Origami Yoda awesomeness in this video:

You can find out even more about Origami Yoda here or The Popularity Papers here.
