Teen Tech Week at the Library

From March 7-13 it is the American Library Association's Teen Tech Week! This is a celebration of teens and their amazing and innovative uses of technology. In honor of this week, we have lots of activities throughout the library system for you that involve getting in touch with electronics of all kinds.

Gotta Gadget: Do you use an ipod, cell phone or digital camera often? Do you know how to program them? Do your parents often ask you for help when they are trying to figure out a new tech toy? We are looking for teens who can assist older people who may need some help with their gadgets. Volunteer for one night and you will get full use of the computers during your down time AND earn community service hours. The people you help will be so thankful!
We are having two clinics for gadgets:
Central: March 9 from 4:30-6:30
Westover: March 11 from 4-6:00
If you are interested please email: (for Central's event) lcosgrove-davies@arlingtonva.us
or (for Westover) apettit@arlingtonva.us.

Gaming: Shirlington is going to be having a gaming program on Monday March 8, from 4-6 p.m. Come by and play some Wii! Maybe sharpen your nun-chuck skills with Super Smashbrothers or get ready to surf the waves or hone your serve with Wii Sports.

During Teen Tech Week, be sure to check the blogs for cool links and a contest.
