Top 10 before 2010: Catching Fire

Catching Fire
-- Suzanne Collins

Before you start Catching Fire, you should clear a large space in your schedule. Once you start this book you are not going to put it down.

There's only so much that can be said about Catching Fire without spoiling its predecessor, The Hunger Games. But, let's go with the basics: Katniss is back and her very existence is making a lot of very important people nervous.

Collins writes with the kind of pacing that grabs you and doesn't let you go until suddenly you've missed your stop on the metro and have ended up at the other end of the Red Line. You'll be swept up trying to find out what happens to Peeta, Katniss and Gale as they try and deal with the cruel leadership of the Capital.
Once you're done with Catching Fire you'll be begging for book three. Thank goodness it's coming out in August, we couldn't wait any longer.
