January and February Events for Teens

January 2008

Tuesday Jan 8 5-6:30 — High School TAB High School Teen Advisory Board. Share, discuss, suggest, and debate your favorite (and your not-so-favorite) books with teens from all of the Arlington high schools.
Friday Jan 11 3-4:30 — GET YOUR GAME ON Wii Sports, Dance Dance Revolution, board games, and more.
Tuesday Jan 15 3:30-5 — Arlington Teen Café Come by for an afternoon snack, crafts, music, Wi-Fi, board games, whatever!
Friday Jan 18 3:30-4:30 — Wii Will Rock You Stop in for a game of Nintendo Wii.
Tuesday Jan 22 3:30-5 — Manga & Anime Club Watch a short film and discuss manga, anime, graphic novels and comics with other fans.
Thursday Jan 24 7-8 — FAFSA workshop College bound teens! Come to a presentation sponsored by the Arlington Public Schools and the Arlington Community Foundation about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) .
Friday Jan 25 3:30-4:30 — Arlington Teen Café
Monday Jan 28 1:00-3:00 — GET YOUR GAME ON for all ages (grades K-12) — NO SCHOOL for APS students.
Tuesday Jan 29 3:30-6:30 — Watch the Movie, Read the Book: Stardust We’ll watch a movie and discuss it and the book it’s based on. If you need help finding a copy of the book let us know. Try to read it beforehand but if not, just come for the movie, snacks, and good conversation.

February 2008

Friday Feb 1 3:30-4:30 — Wii Will Rock You
Tuesday Feb 5 4:30-6:30 — High School TAB
Friday Feb 8 3:30-4:30 — Arlington Teen Café
Tuesday Feb 12 3:30-6:30 — Movie Screening: Becoming Jane Come by to watch this new movie starring Anne Hathaway. Refreshments and supplies for making Valentine’s Day (or Anti-Valentine’s) cards will be provided.
Friday Feb 15 3-4:30 — GET YOUR GAME ON for all ages (grades K-12)
Saturday Feb 16 9:30-3:30 (drop-in) — FAFSA workshop College bound teens and parents: drop in during the day and get detailed hands-on help filling out your FAFSA application in the library’s computer lab.
Tuesday Feb 19 3:30-5 — Manga & Anime Club
Friday Feb 22 3:30-4:30 — Wii Will Rock You
Tuesday Feb 26 3:30-6:30 — Watch the Movie, Read the Book: Zathura
Friday Feb 29 3:30-4:30 — Arlington Teen Café
